The instructor will engage in a variety of learning support and institutional practices, advising, and mentoring of students; identifying and implementing assessment measures to achieve course, program, and college learning outcomes; participating in team-based activities; student cocurricular activities and college governance; incorporating pedagogies that support best learning practices; and expanding of instructional delivery options available to students. Faculty are expected to demonstrate and maintain competence throughout their employment at the college.
This instructor will be responsible for teaching American History, American National Government, Ethics, Philosophy, World Civilization, World Regional Geography The typical teaching load is 30 credit hours per academic year.
Required: Master's degree in Social Science or related field with 18 graduate hours in History. Evidence of thorough and accurate knowledge of discipline.
Preferred: Master's Degree in History. Previous teaching instruction in community college or secondary education.
The success full candidate must be acculturated or be willing to become acculturated to the community and demographic flavors of the rural Midwest.
