Responsibilities include preparation, teaching, and conducting courses as assigned including but not limited to laboratory courses and clinicals supervision. Duties may include but not limited to develop syllabi; facilitate student learning in classroom and lab settings, recruit, advise, tutor, and evaluate students. Teaching assignments may include some evenings and occasional travel.
Instruction in the following courses may include but not be limited to: Fundamentals of Nursing, Gerontological Nursing, Adult and Child Care, and IV Therapy. Typical teaching load is 30 credit hours of instruction per academic year
Bachelor's degree in nursing. Current Kansas Register Nursing License and BLS certification required. Minimum of two years of clinical experience required. Associates degree in Nursing with certifications will be considered depending on experience.
Master's Degree in Nursing or subfield preferred. Previous teaching instruction in community college or secondary education preferred.
